Luigi Mangione, who is facing murder charges in the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, was given heart-shaped notes before his Feb. 21 court appearance, according to a new filing. The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office wrote in the filing, “one addressed to an unknown person named ‘Joan’ and the other to Luigi stating in part ‘know there are thousands of people wishing you luck.’”
